BET
BET
The design of the BET is of a house (bayit) Make sure your door is always open to guests. Abraham’s tent was open on all four sides making sure travelers would always have a place to stay or partake in a meal.
The gematria of BET is two. Two represents duality and plurality. Everything in Creation was created in pairs. Man and woman, male and female. BET is the first letter of the Torah. As BET is the number 2 in gematria, this is said to symbolize that there are two parts to Torah: the Written Torah and the Oral Torah. BET also is reflected in this world and the world to come. May it be speedily in our day. Bet is for Bracha (blessing). When we say a blessing we bring down the ten sefirot (10 modalities) into the 4 letter name of God.
